It was a busy morning for Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies, who made four arrests across Spring-area roads Thursday, Aug. 6, on charges ranging from evading arrest to DWI to outstanding warrants.

Corporal Yaw attempted to pull over a vehicle at 400 North Forest Dr. when the driver refused to stop and tried to flee, according to the constable's office. The vehicle was quickly stopped and the driver was charged with evading in a motor vehicle.

In a separate incident, Deputy Constable Johnson spotted a vehicle in the 2700 block of Northwest Freeway that had spun into traffic while missing a tire. The driver was arrested for DWI, the office reported.

Also on Aug. 6, deputies stopped a driver in the 9600 block of Cypresswood Drive and discovered an open warrant for Possession of a Dangerous Drug. That driver was taken into custody, according to the constable's office.

A fourth arrest came after Deputy Constable Gracia pulled over a speeding driver at 1500 Louetta Rd. A records check revealed several outstanding warrants, and the driver was taken into custody without incident, the office said.

No names were released.

"Our deputies remain committed to keeping impaired drivers off our roadways," Constable Mark Herman said in a July 19 press release about a separate DWI case. "If you choose to drive while intoxicated, you are putting lives at risk and will be held accountable."
