Spring-area residents registered in Montgomery County must vote at their assigned precinct polling location on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
That precinct requirement is the big difference for Spring voters who straddle the county line. Harris County lets voters cast a ballot at any of its 600-plus vote centers, according to Houston Public Media. In Montgomery County, Election Day voting is precinct-specific, and voters must cast their ballots at the location assigned to their registered precinct.
Montgomery County Elections Administrator Suzie Harvey's office lists more than 120 polling locations countywide, according to Woodlands Online. Eleven of those precincts have Spring mailing addresses.

Voters without photo ID can fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration at the polling site and show an alternative document such as a utility bill, bank statement, government check or voter registration certificate, according to Community Impact, citing the Texas Secretary of State's office.
