Divine Tactics Mission dropped off cases of bottled water and Gatorade at Constable Mark Herman's Louetta Patrol Station in Spring on Thursday, Aug. 13, giving deputies a hydration boost as temperatures hit 98 degrees.
The gesture was not small to the people receiving it.
The Constable Precinct 4 office, which serves more than one million residents across north Harris County, announced the donation on X, calling it part of the nonprofit's "continued support" of its deputies. The office said the drinks will help keep deputies hydrated while they serve the community during the Texas heat. Precinct 4 is the largest constable's office in the country, with more than 670 sworn deputies responding to nearly 1,200 calls for service every 24 hours.
Divine Tactics Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Cypress that was established in 2025. The organization describes itself as a grassroots group built around "showing up when people need help." It runs three programs: disaster relief for families affected by emergencies, search-and-rescue operations for missing persons, and Pitres's Pantry, which provides food and essentials to families in need.
The group's social media accounts have posted weather alerts and community safety information since at least 2024.
The Louetta Patrol Station is one of several Precinct 4 facilities serving the Spring area. Constable Mark Herman has led the office for more than a decade, first appointed in May 2015 and elected to a third four-year term in 2024 with more than 90% of the vote. The office's headquarters sits at 6831 Cypresswood Drive in Spring.
The Precinct 4 post suggested the donation was not the group's first contribution to the office, though details of prior support were not available.
