Dulcy Caylor, the 18-year-old gymnast who trains at World Champions Centre in Spring, will represent the United States at the Szombathely World Challenge Cup in Hungary Sept. 18-20.

USA Gymnastics announced the selection Thursday, Aug. 20, naming Caylor and Tatum Drusch of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, as the two women's athletes on the Szombathely roster. Rosters were determined by results at the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships, held Aug. 6-9 in Phoenix.

Caylor finished sixth in the all-around at nationals with a score of 107.35 and fifth on balance beam at 26.75, according to NBC Sports results. Five of the top seven all-around finishers train in or are from Texas.

The selection caps a comeback season for Caylor, who dealt with an injury early in 2026 before returning to competition at the U.S. Classic in July. She posted on Instagram ahead of that meet that she felt renewed.

"I'm finally feeling like myself again and motivated to finish this season as strong as possible," Caylor wrote on Instagram in July, before the U.S. Classic. "I have a renewed outlook, and I'm thankful to be healthy enough to do what I love."

Caylor trains under coaches Daymon Jones and Patrick Kiens at World Champions Centre, the Spring facility owned by the family of Olympic champion Simone Biles. She is a member of the 2026-27 U.S. Women's Senior National Team.

Her resume runs deep. Caylor competed at the 2025 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, qualifying fifth in the all-around with a score of 52.765 in her Worlds debut. She earned that berth by winning the all-around at the World Team Selection Event in Crossville, Tennessee, on Sept. 30, 2025, posting a 55.250.

Before that, Caylor won team gold and all-around gold at the 2022 Junior Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro, team gold at the 2024 DTB Pokal Mixed Cup in Stuttgart and team gold at the 2025 Pan American Championships in Panama City.

Caylor, born Dec. 9, 2007, has committed to compete for the University of Florida in NCAA gymnastics after her elite career.
