Ron C. Angeletti, a Democrat from The Woodlands, is running for Texas State Senate District 4 in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. He faces Republican Brett W. Ligon.

Asked why he is running, Angeletti said in our candidate questionnaire: "I believe public service should be about people over politics and solutions over slogans. For far too long, hardworking Texans have watched elected officials prioritize political agendas over the everyday needs of the people they were elected to serve."

Angeletti also said in our questionnaire: "I am not running to build a political career. I am running to help build a better Texas where public schools are properly funded, communities are safe, healthcare is accessible, businesses can thrive, and families have a fair opportunity to succeed."

Angeletti lost to Ligon in the May 2, 2026, special general election for the District 4 seat, receiving 25% of the vote to Ligon's 75%, according to The Texan. He ran unopposed in the March 3, 2026, Democratic primary, receiving 47,762 votes.
