DNA evidence has linked three men to a failed ATM burglary at a business on Aldine Westfield Road in Spring, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 announced.

Constable Mark Herman's office said Jerome Thomas, Warrick Mason and Nolan Furr are wanted for engaging in organized criminal activity. Thomas was captured at the scene and has already been charged. Mason and Furr remain at large.

FOX 26 Houston first reported the development Thursday, Oct. 1.

According to the constable's office, an employee at the business called law enforcement after spotting multiple men trying to break into an ATM inside the building. The suspects damaged the machine but did not get any money.

The employee gave deputies a description of the suspect vehicle, which was broadcast to responding units. Deputies spotted the car in traffic, but it kept going at high speed before crashing. All three men ran from the wreck on foot.

Deputies set up a perimeter and caught Thomas. He was charged with criminal mischief and interference with a police K-9. The constable's office did not say when the original incident occurred.

Evidence collected at the scene was sent for forensic testing. In September 2026, Herman's Criminal Investigations Division learned that DNA recovered from the evidence matched multiple people. Detectives combined those results with video surveillance to identify Mason and Furr as the remaining suspects.

The constable's office said all three men have prior criminal records that include robbery, assault, burglary, drug offenses and vehicle theft.

Herman's office posted on X on Thursday, Oct. 1, that DNA evidence had identified the remaining suspects in the case. The post noted that all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

The case number is HC2603-00156. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mason or Furr can contact Constable Mark Herman's office at 281-376-3472.
