A vehicle crashed into a Spring home on Saturday, Oct. 3, after the driver fled a traffic stop and lost control, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's office.
The crash happened in the 21600 block of Meadowhill Drive near Crossfell Road, in the Dove Meadows neighborhood between FM 2920 and Spring Stuebner Road. The vehicle caused significant damage to the residence, KHOU reported.
A Precinct 4 deputy had attempted a traffic stop in the neighborhood, but the driver refused to pull over, the constable's office said. A short pursuit followed. The driver tried to make a turn, lost control and struck the home, according to the constable's office.
No injuries were reported.
The driver was detained at the scene but had not been arrested or charged as of Saturday evening, the constable's office said. The reason for the original traffic stop has not been disclosed, and the driver has not been identified, Click2Houston reported.
