German Gift House owner Ursula Sledge opened a second location at 318 Main St. in Spring on Sept. 11. The expansion adds to a cluster of local shops stocked for the 2026 holiday season.

German Gift House

Sledge founded the shop more than 10 years ago at 210 B Gentry St. in Spring. The new second location, German Gift House II, sits on Market Square.

Both stores carry German gifts, food, collectibles, jewelry, linens and other items sourced from Germany and Europe, according to Community Impact's September report on the expansion.

Gaby and Bill Clemons opened their anime-themed cafe and gift shop on Oct. 5, 2024, at 6450 Louetta Road, Ste. 110, in Spring. The couple, who also work as accountants, turned a lifelong love of anime into a business, Community Impact reported in October 2025.

Kuma Rama sells anime collectibles, cosplay costumes and games. Its cafe serves boba teas, coffees and pastries. The shop also hosts game nights, anime watch parties and comedy shows.

Gaby Clemons, originally from Venezuela, said in Community Impact's October 2025 coverage that she watched her first anime around age 6. "A lot of them really have in-depth characters and really deep stories that are really touching," she said.

Sprawling over 85,000 square feet, The Antique Gallery of Houston is home to almost 250 dealers, according to the store's website. Shoppers can browse furniture, jewelry, collectibles, home decor, militaria and more. The gallery is open daily until 6 p.m. and has an indoor cafe.
