A music school offering private lessons in 10 instruments will open on Spring Cypress Road this fall. Muse Mantra School of Music & Arts confirmed the expansion from its original Woodlands location.
Founder and Director Tarab Ali confirmed the new Spring-area studio, Community Impact reported Tuesday, Sept. 15. The school launched in The Woodlands in June 2020 and has operated there for six years.
The studio at 7827 Spring Cypress Rd. will offer one-on-one lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums, violin, viola, cello, ukulele, flute and clarinet. It will also offer adapted music lessons for students who benefit from a more customized approach, music production courses and early childhood classes for toddlers as young as 1 year old.
A board certified music therapist is on the school's faculty, according to the school's FAQ page. Classrooms are equipped with video and audio streaming so parents can watch lessons in real time on a phone or tablet.
Weekly 30-minute private lessons cost $165 per month. Adapted lessons run $180 per month, and music production courses cost $260 per month. A 30-minute trial lesson is $45.
Tuition is month-to-month with no long-term contract. The school offers 10% discounts for siblings, veterans, law enforcement and seniors.
The school described the Spring location as serving families in Spring, Klein, Gleannloch Farms, Champions and nearby neighborhoods. In a Facebook video announcement, the school credited its Woodlands students and families for making the growth possible.
Muse Mantra is hosting a free Grand Opening Music Fest on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Spring Cypress Road studio. The event will feature live music, studio tours, hands-on instrument activities, face painting, a bounce house, ice cream, hot dogs and giveaways, according to the school's Instagram page.
Spring ISD earned its 13th consecutive Best Communities for Music Education award from the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants) in June, a recognition that honors districts providing access to high-quality music programs.
