Old Time Christmas Tree Farm at 7632 Spring Cypress Road will open its Pumpkin Patch every Thursday through Sunday in October 2026.
No reservations or advance tickets are required. Visitors pay admission at the gate. Attraction tickets for a train ride, hayride, one-acre corn maze, petting zoo and inflatables are sold separately, according to My Neighborhood News.
The farm sits on more than 75 acres near the corner of Spring Cypress Road and Stuebner Airline Road. Owners Damian and Leia Prause opened the Christmas tree operation in 1996, but the land has been in Leia's family for more than a century. Her grandfather, Milton Kleb, raised peanuts, cotton, hay and other crops on the property. Her father, Wayne Kleb, grew up working the family dairy and still lives on the farm, where cattle are still raised.
About 40 of those acres hold more than 40,000 pine and cypress trees. The Pumpkin Patch started as a way to bring families out during the tree farm's off-season and grew into its own annual tradition.
Pumpkins are sourced from family farms in North Texas, where drier conditions suit the crop better than Houston's humidity. Varieties include Jack-O'-Lantern, pie and mini pumpkins. Carving kits are available for purchase.
One standout is the Old Time Express train.
Damian Prause and his father, Benny Prause, built it by hand, constructing custom cars and a tractor made to look like a steam engine. The train carries riders through the Christmas tree fields. The Prause children, Erin and Michael, grew up on the farm and now help run the business full time.
Food vendors The Sweet Zone and Tikiz serve corn dogs, nachos, fried Oreos, funnel cakes, shaved ice and ice cream in shaded picnic areas. Outside food is not permitted. Leashed pets are welcome, and complimentary waste bags are available at the entrance.
The property is mostly flat and grassy with paved roads throughout. Handicap parking and an accessible portable restroom sit near the entrance. Personal family photography is included with admission; professional photographers bringing clients must book in advance.
