Old Town Spring's Haunted Trails and Hayride is open at 26302 Preston Ave., running Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 1.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and close at 11:30 p.m. Tickets cost $35 per person. The attraction does not operate on weeknights.

The two-part experience starts on a hay wagon rolling through dark harvest fields, according to Houston On The Cheap. Once the wagon stops, visitors continue on foot through wooded trails with live actors, fog and darkness. This year's theme centers on a plague-ravaged town overrun by the undead.

KPRC noted the entire attraction takes place outdoors, so operations may change during extreme weather.

The next operating nights are Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17.

Separately, a chamber ensemble concert is set for Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at Cypress Creek Christian Church, 6823 Cypresswood Dr. The group, founded in 2000, performs classical works on period instruments. Tickets start at $12, according to Houston On The Cheap.
