Beth Griffith opened a specialty needlework shop at 1776 Woodstead Court, Suite 123, on Saturday, Aug. 1, adding a dedicated needlepoint retailer to the area's mix of shops along the I-45 corridor.
Studio 3113 Modern Needlework sells needlepoint canvases, premium threads, supplies, and accessories for stitchers. The store stocks seven thread lines, including Vineyard Silk, Appleton's Wool, Au Ver a Soie silk, Painter's Threads, and Rainbow Gallery, Griffith told Community Impact in a report published Monday, Aug. 3.
Griffith said the shop will also host classes and community gatherings. No schedule has been announced.
The storefront sits off Six Pines Drive and Woodlands Parkway, with access to I-45, the Hardy Toll Road, and the Grand Parkway. The address is in The Woodlands (ZIP 77380), near the Spring border.
The grand opening ran from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 1. A Facebook post announcing the event drew 3,600 views and 347 reactions in the days before the doors opened, suggesting strong interest from local crafters.
Studio 3113's regular hours are Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shop is closed Sunday through Tuesday.
The store's website, studio-3113.com, was still password-protected as of Tuesday, Aug. 4, meaning online shopping is not yet available. Griffith has not announced when e-commerce will launch.
