Spring gymnast Dulcy Caylor will travel with the U.S. women's team to the 2026 Artistic World Championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, as the squad's traveling replacement.

USA Gymnastics announced the selection Thursday, Oct. 1, after a two-day camp at FlipFest Gymnastics Camp in Crossville, Tennessee. Caylor, 18, trains at World Champions Centre in Spring under coaches Daymon Jones and Patrick Kiens.

As traveling replacement, Caylor flies to Rotterdam with the five-member team and would step in if a rostered gymnast cannot compete. Competition begins Saturday, Oct. 17, with team qualification set for Sunday, Oct. 18, and the women's team final scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The roster features two other Texas-based gymnasts: Reese Esponda of Shenandoah, who also trains at World Champions Centre, and Claire Pease of Sunnyvale. Skye Blakely, Charleigh Bullock and Hezly Rivera round out the squad. Jade Carey was named the non-traveling replacement.

The selection is no surprise. Caylor competed at the 2025 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, after winning the all-around at the U.S. World Team Selection Camp. In Jakarta she qualified for the all-around, balance beam and floor exercise finals, finishing sixth on floor and eighth on beam.

Her 2026 season included a sixth-place all-around finish at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Phoenix and a floor exercise gold medal at the Szombathely World Challenge Cup in Hungary in September. She edged three-time Olympian Flavia Saraiva of Brazil, 13.466 to 13.433.

Caylor has earned four consecutive U.S. senior national team berths, dating to the 2022-23 cycle. She signed with the University of Florida but announced in November 2025 that she would defer enrollment until fall 2028 to train for the Los Angeles Olympics.

"Representing Team USA at the 2028 Olympics is my dream, and I'm giving it everything I have," Caylor said in November 2025 when she announced the deferral.

The stakes in Rotterdam extend beyond medals. Three women's team spots for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics are on the line, making the competition a critical step in the qualification cycle Caylor is building toward.

The U.S. women compete in team qualification Sunday, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m. CT, with the team final set for Wednesday, Oct. 21, at noon CT.
