Sprouts Farmers Market opened its 500th U.S. location Saturday, Sept. 12, at 4775 W. Panther Creek Dr., Suite 400, in Spring.
The specialty grocer held a ribbon-cutting at 6:45 a.m. before opening the doors at 7 a.m., Hello Woodlands reported. The Spring store marks Sprouts' 500th location across 25 states.
Nick Konat, president and chief operating officer of Sprouts, called the opening "an incredible milestone" that "reflects the passion of our thousands of team members, the loyalty of customers and the strong relationships we've built in the communities we serve."
Grand opening deals
The grand opening runs through Sunday, Sept. 13. The first 200 shoppers each day will receive a free reusable tote. On Saturday, the first 400 guests will also get a free long-stem rose from Falcon Farms Floral.
New Sprouts Rewards members can get 20% off one purchase during the weekend using the in-store promo code WLANDGO20. Shoppers can also enter to win a $500 Sprouts gift card at Sprouts.com/woodlands.
What's inside
The store carries more than 7,000 vitamins, supplements and wellness products, according to Sprouts' website. Its bulk department stocks freshly roasted coffee beans, nuts, dried fruits, granolas, spices and other items by the scoop.
Deli sandwiches start at $4.99. Sprouts Wellness Bowls, made daily in-store, start at $8.99. The store also runs $5 sushi specials every Wednesday.
Local sourcing and food rescue
Sprouts said the Spring location will source produce from local farms, including J&B Farms and Little Bear Produce. Through the company's Food Rescue program, groceries no longer fit for sale but still edible will go to the Houston Food Bank.
National expansion
Sprouts employs roughly 36,000 people, according to a company press release. The grocer planned to open 40 new stores in 2026, with more than 150 approved locations and more than 105 executed leases as of June, Progressive Grocer reported.
The Spring store is open daily, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
