A national stretching franchise is setting up shop on Spring Cypress Road, adding a guided-stretching option to the corridor's retail mix.
Stretch Zone plans to open a studio at 8765 Spring Cypress Road, Suite M, according to Community Impact Newspaper. The company's location page listed the studio as "Coming Soon" as of Aug. 21.
No opening date has been set.
The studio will offer 30-minute sessions in which certified practitioners guide clients through stretching routines that the company says improve range of motion over time. Practitioners use a patented strapping system on proprietary tables to isolate muscles and adjust the stretch reflex gradually, avoiding strains or tears. Staff complete a 40-hour training program and often come from backgrounds in massage therapy, personal training, physical therapy or sports science.
"The whole reason that I started Stretch Zone was sparked from watching my grandfather becoming immobile because of his diabetes," founder and CEO Jorden Gold said in the company's announcement. "It motivated me to develop a proprietary stretching method that I hoped would prevent others from having to see themselves and the people in their lives suffer in the same way."
Gold founded the company in 2004 and began franchising in 2017. Stretch Zone now operates more than 400 locations across 41 states with what the company says is zero studio closures since it started selling franchises, according to the International Franchise Association.
Over 250 of those locations opened in the past three years, reflecting rapid national expansion. Members who sign up at the Spring location will also have access to any Stretch Zone studio nationwide through the brand's Systemwide Access benefit.
No opening date has been announced. Residents can call (281) 625-3771 or check the studio's location page for updates.
