About 70 homes in Spring's Lilac Woods Trail and Midnight Stone area lost water service Thursday, Aug. 27, after a suspected main break.

Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 503 (MUD 503) posted a notice on its website stating that emergency crews were on site and that the district anticipated restoring service within six to eight hours. The district described the cause as a "possible water main break," and no confirmation of the actual cause has been posted.

The cause remains unconfirmed.

As of Friday, Aug. 28, no follow-up notice had appeared on the district's Latest News page. The Aug. 27 outage alert remained the most recent post. Whether service has been fully restored or whether additional repairs are needed has not been addressed publicly.

Residents who still lack water or have questions should contact Inframark, the district's utility operator, at 832-467-1599. Inframark also lists a general customer service email at [email protected], though the outage notice itself directed residents only to the phone number.

MUD 503's five-member board of directors includes President Danielle Gonzalez, Vice President Kevin Gilligan, Secretary Ryan Schilhab, Assistant Secretary TJ Florete and Assistant Vice President/Assistant Secretary Kelli Odum. None have publicly commented on the outage.

The district's next scheduled board meeting is Monday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. in Suite 2400, Sabine Conference Room, at the offices of Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP, 3200 Southwest Freeway in Houston. The board generally meets the first Monday of each month. No agenda for the Oct. 5 meeting has been posted, and it is unclear whether the outage will be discussed.
