Texas Master Chorale will perform all three of its 2026-2027 concerts at The Centrum in Spring, marking a new venue for the 100-voice ensemble.
The season opener, "Ye Shall Have a Song," begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at The Centrum at Cypress Creek Christian Community Center, 6823 Cypresswood Drive. The chorale announced the venue change on its Facebook page, saying it would now perform at the 875-seat Spring auditorium for the full season.
The season's theme is "Spirit and Song." The October opener features Robert Ray's "Gospel Mass," which premiered in 1979, alongside a portion of Randall Thompson's "The Peaceable Kingdom," an a cappella work composed in 1936, according to Hello Woodlands.
Two more concerts follow. "A Season of Wonder," a Christmas program in December, will feature traditional carols and include students from Tomball High School Chorale. The season closes with "Triumph and Peace" in April 2027, featuring Leonard Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" and Haydn's "Lord Nelson Mass."
Tickets are $30. They can be purchased at TexasMasterChorale.org, by calling the box office at (281) 440-4850, or at the door. Students get in free with a valid school ID, and complimentary valet parking is available at each concert.
Founded in 1986, the chorale is a mixed ensemble of 100 auditioned singers performing classical, contemporary, sacred and secular choral works. It is sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts.
