Spring ISD and Klein ISD teachers who need classroom supplies may have as little as five minutes to act when registration opens Friday, Aug. 28, at 7 a.m.
The Education Foundation of Harris County's Tools for Teachers program will award 1,628 educators across 25 Harris County school districts a $100 credit to spend on classroom supplies. The program's total value is $162,800, according to Hot in Houston Now.
Last year, all spots filled within five minutes of registration opening, Spring ISD warned on Facebook when it shared the announcement Monday, Aug. 24.
How to register
Teachers must use a valid email address from their Harris County public school district or an ISD-authorized account. The registration form will go live at hcde-texas.org at 7 a.m. Friday.
No closing deadline is posted. The program awards credits first-come, first-served until all 1,628 spots are claimed.
What happens next
Educators who secure a spot can shop for classroom supplies during a one-week window from Monday, Sept. 14, through Sept. 21.
Both Spring ISD and Klein ISD are among the 25 qualifying districts, which also include Aldine ISD, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Houston ISD, Humble ISD, Katy ISD, Tomball ISD and others. The Education Foundation posted the full list on Instagram.
Spring ISD also shared the announcement on its official X account on Monday, Aug. 24, urging teachers to be ready the moment the form goes live.
