A new car wash built for trucks, RVs and trailers too big for standard bays is open around the clock on I-45 in Spring.
Washed Whale Inc., owned by Ken Jones and Garrett Francis, can handle vehicles up to 10 feet high, 26 feet long and 9 feet wide, Community Impact reported Wednesday, Aug. 26. The facility at 17535 North Freeway operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No appointment is needed.
Francis said on LinkedIn the wash opened in February. He described the Spring location as the first of a planned multi-location expansion.
What it costs
Washed Whale offers four tiers of single washes priced between $12 and $26:
- Express — pre-soak, high-pressure wash, spot-free rinse and dryers
- Premium — adds bug blaster and underbody wash
- Deluxe — double pre-soak, tire and wheel cleaner, double underbody wash, clearcoat sealer wax and triple foam waterfall
- Signature — triple pre-soak, double bug blaster, triple foam waterfall with carnauba wax and ceramic coating
Monthly unlimited memberships run $22.99 to $42.99, depending on the tier.
Touchless tech, fleet services
The wash uses touchless technology with no bristles or brushes, which the company says makes it safe for sensor-equipped vehicles such as Teslas and Rivians, as well as wrapped vehicles and first-responder units. Washed Whale also offers a fleet program for businesses and organizations, according to its website.
The company says it offers fundraising and sponsorship opportunities for community groups.
