Westfield ran its District 14-6A record to a perfect 4-0 with a 37-7 road win over Benjamin Davis on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The Mustangs controlled the game at Benjamin Davis High School, holding the Falcons to a single score. The 30-point margin matched a pattern for the Westfield defense this district season: the Mustangs have not allowed more than seven points in any of their four league games.
Westfield, coached by Desmar Black, improved to 5-2 overall and sits alone in first place in District 14-6A, according to MaxPreps. The Mustangs have outscored district opponents 163-19 across wins over Eisenhower (47-0), Spring (42-6), Nimitz (37-6) and now Benjamin Davis.
They have scored 186 points this season and allowed just 44.
The loss dropped Benjamin Davis to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in district play, slotting the Falcons into second place. Davis had entered the game riding a three-game district winning streak that included a 56-13 win at Dekaney on Oct. 9 and a 49-0 shutout of Aldine on Oct. 3, according to the Falcons' MaxPreps schedule.
