Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies arrested one person on a felony aggravated assault charge near 8400 FM 1960 Bypass Road West in Spring on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's office announced the arrest on X, confirming deputies had the suspect in custody. No details about the suspect's identity, age or the circumstances of the assault were released.

No motive was disclosed.


The 8400 block of FM 1960 Bypass Road West sits along one of Spring's busiest commercial corridors, and the arrest adds to a string of law enforcement activity on the roadway this month. On Aug. 3, Precinct 4 deputies filed an aggravated assault charge connected to a hit-and-run on FM 1960. On the same day as Saturday's arrest, deputies also took a suspect with 13 open warrants into custody near 7500 FM 1960 Road East, several miles from the aggravated assault scene.

Herman's office has not released information about whether formal charges have been filed in Saturday's case or when the suspect might appear in court. The investigation appears to be ongoing.
