A boy was stabbed in the shoulder during a fight with another juvenile in a Spring neighborhood Friday, Aug. 14, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
The incident happened just before 7 a.m. in the 200 block of Leaflet Lane, Constable Mark Herman's office reported. EMS responded and provided medical attention to the injured boy.
Deputies detained a second juvenile at the scene. That juvenile was later released, ABC13 reported, though Precinct 4 did not specify whether the release came with or without charges.
No charges have been announced.
ABC13's SkyEye13 helicopter captured deputies shielding the detained juvenile with an umbrella near a patrol car. The juvenile was later seen walking back to a home after being removed from the vehicle.
Precinct 4 has not released the ages of either juvenile involved or the condition of the victim beyond confirming he received medical attention. The investigation remains ongoing.
Second Spring stabbing the same morning
The Leaflet Lane incident is separate from a stabbing at 20900 Noelle Court in Spring the same morning, where two adults were hospitalized with non-life-threatening stab wounds. Precinct 4, which patrols north Harris County including the Spring area, is handling both investigations. No suspect information has been released in the Noelle Court case.
The two stabbings come less than a week after a 15-year-old was arrested in connection with a shooting in the 3700 block of Liles Lane on Aug. 9, making three violent incidents involving juveniles in Spring within six days.
