A 15-year-old juvenile is in custody in connection with a shooting in the 3700 block of Liles Lane in Spring, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 announced Monday, Aug. 10.

Deputies with Constable Mark Herman's office confirmed the arrest in a post on X Monday nirbubg. No charges or formal identification of the suspect have been released. Under Texas law, reports involving suspects under 17 are not publicly releasable.

The investigation began when Precinct 4 deputies responded to reports of gunshots near Spring Mill Lane and North Spring Drive late Sunday, Aug. 9, according to an earlier post from the constable's office.

By early Monday morning, the agency confirmed one victim had been shot at the 3700 block of Liles Lane, a residential street near the initial response area. Precinct 4 asked residents to avoid the block and warned of a heavy law enforcement presence.

The victim's identity and condition have not been released.
