Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies recovered several propane canisters on Thursday, Aug. 13, after a vehicle pursuit near the intersection of Demontrond Street and Kuykendahl Road in Spring.

The office, led by Constable Mark Herman, first alerted the public to the active pursuit earlier that day, warning residents to avoid the area and use extreme caution. A follow-up from the agency's verified account on X confirmed deputies remained on scene after the chase ended and had recovered the canisters.

No suspect information, vehicle description, arrest or charges had been publicly confirmed by the constable's office as of Aug. 13.

It was not immediately clear how many canisters were recovered. The constable's office described the quantity only as "several." No hazmat team response or fire department involvement was mentioned in the agency's updates.

The agency urged residents to continue avoiding the area near Demontrond and Kuykendahl and to use caution while the investigation remains active.
