The family-owned seafood restaurant at 9305 Spring Cypress Road has a new name after more than a decade in business. Bleu Oyster Bar and Seafood relaunched as Bleu Phoenix Kitchen in early August, restaurant officials told Community Impact.
The rebrand marks the first name change since the restaurant opened in 2015 in the Suite 101 storefront near the Spring Cypress and Champion Forest intersection.
What hasn't changed: the oysters.
Bleu Phoenix Kitchen still serves fried, Rockefeller and charbroiled oysters alongside salmon tacos, fried oyster tacos, jumbo shrimp and seafood gumbo, according to the restaurant's website. A third-party menu listing also shows boudin balls, rockin' shrimp poppers, a grilled salmon salad and a fried seafood platter among the offerings carried over under the new banner.
The restaurant holds a 4.3-star rating across 743 Google reviews, a following built over 11 years of serving the Spring community.
On Wednesday, the restaurant's website at bleuoysterbay.com still displayed the old Bleu Oyster Bar and Seafood branding, suggesting the digital transition remains underway.
Bleu Phoenix Kitchen is open Monday from 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. The phone number is 346-808-5804.
