A driver crashed into a building in the 2400 block of FM 1960 Road in Spring on Wednesday, Aug. 12, after suffering a medical emergency behind the wheel.
Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputy constables responded to the scene, according to the office's post on X. EMS crews evaluated the driver on site.
No life-threatening injuries were reported, Constable Mark Herman's office said in a Facebook post about the incident.
The constable's office did not identify the driver or disclose what type of medical emergency was involved. The building struck was also not identified. Precinct 4 posted scene photos showing the vehicle against the structure.
FM 1960 corridor
The crash occurred along one of Spring's busiest commercial stretches. The 2400 block of FM 1960 sits in a heavily trafficked retail and office corridor in the heart of the community, where vehicles and pedestrians share tight parking lots and service roads throughout the day.
Herman's office did not say how fast the vehicle was traveling or whether anyone inside the building was present at the time of impact.
Recent crashes in Spring
The incident marks the third significant vehicle crash Precinct 4 has responded to in the Spring area in less than a week. On Monday, Aug. 10, deputies responded to a crash on Mason Road where a driver became trapped. On Sunday, Aug. 9, a major crash shut down the Grand Parkway at Spring Stuebner.
No arrests were reported in connection with the FM 1960 crash. The constable's office has not released a follow-up statement on the driver's condition after EMS evaluation.
