Spring's first Yemeni coffee shop is now open at 16803 Stuebner Airline Road, bringing Turkish coffees, a halal brunch menu and late-night hours to the Stuebner Airline corridor.
The Yemeni Bean opened its doors in early August, Community Impact reported Monday, Aug. 10. Management told the outlet the shop specializes in classic and Turkish coffees alongside matcha, smoothies, lemonades and refreshers, plus a brunch and dessert menu.
The Spring location is the brand's newest outpost, though the company has not publicly identified its other locations. Its website remained a "Launching Soon" placeholder as of Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Social media food accounts have promoted the shop as Spring's first Yemeni coffeehouse. The menu features waffles, chicken sandwiches and desserts including Biscoff cheesecake, mango mousse cake and coconut mousse cake, according to posts from halal food influencers who visited opening week.
All food is halal-certified and no alcohol is served, according to the halal restaurant directory Zabihah.
The shop keeps late hours: Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to midnight, Friday from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
Those hours fit a broader trend. Yemeni coffeehouses have boomed across Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth in recent years, serving as alcohol-free late-night gathering spots, Texas Monthly reported in a 2024 feature. "As Muslim youth, we never had a place to get together, so now the coffee spots are our place. That's why they are open late," Omar Ahmed, owner of Sayfani Coffee House, told the magazine.
The opening adds to a busy stretch for Spring's dining scene. Specialty food shop The Oil Reserve opened on Gentry Street in Old Town Spring the week of Aug. 5.

The Yemeni Bean has not announced online ordering or a formal grand opening event. The shop is open seven days a week at 16803 Stuebner Airline Road.
